Kent State Renews Partnership with Shanghai Normal University

Delegates from both Kent State University and Shanghai Normal University in China met on Thursday, November 5 to renew their respective institution's commitment to collaborate on faculty and student exchange programs, especially in the areas of hospitality and tourism.
In a short ceremony, Dr. Todd Diacon, Kent State's senior vice president for academic affairs and provost and Kang Nian,vice president of Shanghai Normal University signed joint agreements in the Urban Conference Room on the Kent Campus Library's second floor before a small audience.
In addition to Vice President Kang Nian, three other representatives from Shanghai Normal University attended the signing ceremony: Vice director of Hotel Management Department at the Tourism Institute Huang Qi, Vice Director of Event Management Department at the Tourism Institute Lu Xiao and Vice Director of Educational Administration Office at the Tourism Institute Lui Rong. The delegation was hosted by Associate Professor of Recreation, Park and Tourism Management, Dr. Phillip Wang.
