Rachel Scholten

Rachel earned a Bachelor degree in Sociology and a Certificate in Latin America Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and is currently pursuing the graduate Certificate in Internationalization of Higher Education here at Kent State. During college she studied the Spanish language, and spent two semesters abroad - one studying at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro and participating in a home-stay with a Mexican family, and the other living in Cuba and studying at the Universidad de La Habana.

In her role at the Office of Global Education, she is responsible for applications to graduate programs in Computer Science, Digital Sciences, Technology, and Education, Health and Human Services, as well as prospective international Student-Athletes. She also serves as the liaison for Kent State’s India Office, has collaborated on special projects with the Women’s Resource Center, TeleProductions, and Human Resources, and enjoys presenting at conferences and assisting with OGE event planning
