Be Engaged

Show Your Spirit!

Marisa Stephens

"Taking pride in your school is more than wearing apparel and going to football games. It is about being proud of the person you are becoming because of the institution you are attending."

— Marisa Stephens,  Kent State FlashGuide studying Managerial Marketing

Show Your Kent State Spirit!

Show off your Golden Flash pride with Kent State gear available through the University Bookstore. Once you have the gear, you will need some sporting events to wear them to, like Homecoming. Don't forget about Blue and Gold Pride Days each week.

Alumni Association

Kent State is recognized as one of Ohio’s best colleges and universities for many reasons. We are accessible — financially, academically and geographically — to a diverse student body, with proximity to major metropolitan areas.

Balance Your Studies, Build in Time for Other Activities

  • Don't forget to exercise. If you are on campus, be sure to use the resources around you. Stop by the Student Recreation and Wellness Center where you can check out a Flashfleet bicycle, walk the Portage Hike and Bike Trail, hit the track near University Health Services, use the volleyball net at Beal Hall, in addition to other spots around campus. Walking instead of taking the bus is always an option too.
  • Don't forget to eat! All that studying with no fuel is an equation for disaster. Plan your meals ahead of time at one of Kent State's dining locations, that accommodate just about any dietary need or restriction.
  • In a rush? Locate the food truck called A Fork in the Road!

Distractions

The black squirrels are running wild - and so are your cravings for next week's Thanksgiving feast and your favorite dishes.
