Awards & Fellowships

The Division of Graduate Studies at Kent State University administers a number of fellowships and awards for new and continuing students.

A University Fellowship is an arrangement in which financial support is given to a graduate student to pursue his or her degree without any obligation on the part of the student to engage in service. A scholarship recognizes past achievements and meritorious performance.

If you are selected to receive a scholarship, fellowship, graduate assistantship, tuition waiver or any other award, your current financial aid offer, including student loans, could be reduced. If you would like to know how your financial aid offer may be affected by another award, please contact One Stop for Student Services for assistance.
