Graduate Student Orientation (all new teaching assistants)
Graduate Student Orientation (GSO) will be held on August 22 (all new graduate students) and August 23 (all new teaching assistants) from 10am-4pm in the Kent Student Center. GSO is designed to support your transition to graduate school by providing you with an opportunity to learn about university policies, services, and resources. Attendees will also have a chance to connect with other graduate students (new and current), along with faculty and administrators.
All new graduate students are invited and highly encouraged to attend GSO. New teaching assistants are required to attend both days of GSO. Registration for GSO is now open.
GSO will feature a series of presentations from different departments across campus, a resource fair, campus tours, and breakout sessions facilitated by the GSO teaching fellows on topics related to teaching, research, and graduate student life.
If you have any specific questions about GSO, please contact Kyle Reynolds at firstname.lastname@example.org or 330-672-1466.
