Graduate Student Orientation (all new teaching assistants)
Graduate Student Orientation (GSO) is held prior to the start of fall and spring semesters for all new graduate students.
GSO provides an opportunity to learn about university resources and network with other new graduate students, along with representatives of KSU's faculty, staff, and administration. GSO will feature a series of presentations from different support areas across campus, a resource fair, campus tours, and breakout sessions facilitated by the GSO teaching fellows related to topics on teaching, research, and graduate student life.
Fall 2019 GSO will be held on Thursday, August 15 for all new graduate students from 10am-5pm and Friday, August 16 for all new teaching assistants from 10am-5pm in the Kent Student Center. All new graduate students are encouraged to attend day one and all new teaching assistants are required to attend both days.
Registration for GSO is open now and students should have received an email inviting them to register. Please check your email inbox to see if you received a message to register. If not, you can also register on our website.
If you have specific questions regarding GSO, please contact Kyle Reynolds at email@example.com or 330-672-1466.
