Three Minute Thesis Preparation Workshop and Panel

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition helps graduate students develop academic, presentation, and research communication skills by crafting a presentation that explains their research in an engaging and concise manner.  Graduate students are given just three minutes and one Powerpoint slide as tools to explain their research.   All graduate students are eligible to participate and compete for cash prizes of up to $500.

This workshop will explain more about the competition, provide tips for creating a successful 3MT presentation, and will feature a panel of graduate students who had success in the competition last year.  The workshop will be hosted in room 319 of the Kent Student Center from 2-3pm on Monday, September 12.
Register for the workshop.

Registration to participate in 3MT is open from September 1st-19th.  Preliminary rounds for the competition will be on September 28, 29, and 30.  The top presenters from each preliminary round will advance to the finals on October 7.  For more information on 3MT go to
