Homecoming Court & Parade

Each year, Homecoming brings unparalleled excitement to campus. The parade and announcement of king and queen are two of the signature events that make Homecoming weekend so special.

Register for the 2019 Homecoming Parade

The Parade

The 2018 parade featured floats, Kent State and local high school marching bands, university colleges and departments, Kent State cheerleaders and athletes, student organizations, local officials, and more! Parade favorites, President Beverly Warren, the 2018 grand marshal and homecoming court anchor the parade which stepped off at 10 a.m. from the corner of Midway Drive and Main St.

All are welcome to watch the parade by “The Rock” on Front Campus.

Sponsored by the Kent State Alumni Association, the hospitality tent served a continental breakfast from 9-10 a.m.

2018 Homecoming Courts

This year Kent State featured over 40 representatives from across Kent State’s eight-campus system that made up the 2018 Homecoming Courts. The Homecoming Courts on every campus were announced in a pre-game ceremony before the Golden Flashes take on the Ohio Bobcats at Dix Stadium. Kickoff was at 3:30 p.m.
