The Honors Freshmen in Florence Program is designed for highly motivated freshmen who wish to pursue coursework in a study abroad environment while also allowing for a cultural exploration of Italy. This program offers students an international experience at a robust campus in one of the most creative renaissance cities in Europe.

Admission

Florence, Italy

The Honors Freshmen in Florence Program is designed for highly motivated freshmen who wish to pursue coursework in a study abroad environment while also allowing for a cultural exploration of Italy. This program offers students an international experience at a robust campus in one of the most creative renaissance cities in Europe.

The Honors Freshmen in Florence Program Orientation will be held during Destination Kent State in early summer of 2018.

Curriculum

Freshmen in Florence students will be enrolled in two Honors courses, which are small classes that will allow you to focus on having meaningful discussions and interactions with other students and your professors while earning you 6 of your required 24 Honors credit hours. Students will also take intensive Italian at the beginner, intermediate or advanced level, depending on placement. Students will also take 2-3 other courses that are focused on immersion into Italy’s modern contributions to art, architecture, design, music and more.
