Community 2 Community Service Program in Action

As part of the University Housing Community 2 Community Service Program, Leebrick and Korb Halls residents and staff (Rachel Harris, Cameron Aloway, Kiara Carter, and Meghan Miller) recently visited the Center of Hope in Ravenna, Ohio to volunteer.  The volunteers helped LaJoyce Harris, Program Manager, organize the pantry and accept multiple donations. The Community 2 Community Service Program is a partnership between University Housing and a dozen local community non-profit organizations. The program provides an opportunity for Kent State residential students to provide community service in their community and for our local non-profits to benefit for the time and talents of our students. To date, student program participants have volunteers over 250 hours of service to their community.
