Meet BMV Week Kicks-off the Year

As we move into the autumn season, with the leaves begin to change color and the smell of pumpkin spiced lattes in the air, the Beall, McDowell, and Van Campen (BMV) residence hall community kicked off the fall semester with Meet BMV Weeks. This was a two-week long series of events hosted in and around BMV for our nearly 600 residential students in these halls. Meet BMV Weeks was a series of beginning-of-the-year events that allowed new and returning students to become involved on campus and meet each other during various events hosted nearly every night over the course of the two weeks.

The Meet BMV Weeks events included an ice cream social, card and board games, an informational meeting for hall council leadership involvement, pancakes and PJ’s, ice cream floats, and utilization of our outdoor recreation space to play sand volleyball and basketball. One of the highlights of Meet BMV Weeks was the Paint & Sip event where over 40 students had the opportunity to display their creativity by painting canvas decorations for their rooms! Meet BMV Weeks was a resounding success and the hall staff from BMV look forward to using this momentum to have a vibrant and fun semester!
