If you need help, lost something, or have a question, feel free to stop by our conference headquarters. The conference headquarters will be open 8 a.m. - midnight each day of the conference.

The Office of Safety and Security

Established in 1973, Kent State's Office of Safety & Security within University Housing is nationally recognized for its excellence and for its status as the only program of its kind that is staffed by student leaders. Student Safety Assistants who work within the Office of Safety & Security complete escorts, while also completing rounds in the residence halls in the evenings. Safety Assistants receive 100 hours of training, learning fire prevention, emergency procedures, conflict resolution, de-escalation, strategies to promote mental wellness, and more.

If you get lost on campus, have questions, have safety concerns, want a campus walking escort- please call the Office of Safety and Security at 330-672-7004. The Safety Assistants will be available 24/7 during the conference. The Office of Safety and Security is located in the Tri Towers Rotunda (1525 Leebrick Drive Kent OH 44240) room 105.

Kent State University Police Services

Kent State University Police Services is located in the Stockdale Safety Building (530 East Summit Street, Kent, Ohio 44242) on the Kent Campus. It can be easily located on the west side of campus at the base of the KSU water tower. The department is composed of both sworn law enforcement officers and civilian support staff to include 21 patrol officers, three detectives, two K9 officers, Auxiliary Service Officers, administrative personnel, IT specialists and a fully-staffed, multijurisdictional communications center. Officers have full police authority in the state of Ohio, and the campus is patrolled 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Officers utilize cruisers, utility vehicles and foot to patrol campus and other university-owned property.

University Hospitals

Kent Health Center

Serving Kent and surrounding communities, University Hospitals Kent Health Center offers families access to primary care physicians, laboratory services, rehabilitation services and diagnostic imaging and radiology procedures.

For non-emergency situations, UH Kent Health Center also houses an urgent care center located at 411 Devon Place Kent OH 44240. Urgent care services include advanced diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of minor illness and injuries in patients of all ages. For more information, call 330-676-5075.

University Hospitals Portage Medical Center is a 302 licensed-bed progressive hospital serving the residents of Portage County. UH Portage Medical Center offers an array of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical specialties.
