In honor of Earth Month at Kent State and sustainable practices, Employee Wellness is hosting a used clothing drive April 22-26. Catch us at Earth Fest on Apr. 22 to drop off clean, gently-worn clothing, or drop off your donations in the marked bins which will be located at Heer Hall, Kent Student Center or the Library. Donations will be distributed to local organizations.

What are the research implications of comics and graphic novels? Are comics scholarship? How can they be incorporated into the curriculum? We’re excited to explore our new exhibition, "Graphic Content," with Kent State faculty, and hope you will join us Friday, Apr. 26 at 2 p.m. for a tour and discussion with Vera Camden, Emerita Professor of English at Kent State and Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University, and Valentino L. Zullo, Anisfield-Wolf Postdoctoral Fellow in English and the Public Humanities at Ursuline College.

In collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), employee wellness partner UH Portage Medical Center will host a one-day opportunity to dispose of expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and over-the-counter medications for destruction. This drive-up/drop-off program is anonymous and all medications will be destroyed. The Take Back event will be held Saturday, Apr. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
