'Tis the Season Stress Relief Challenge*
Nov. 15 - Dec. 12, 2021

Stress is an unavoidable part of life that everyone experiences. While stress cannot be completely eliminated, there are certain steps we can take to manage it more effectively. 

Unmanaged stress can impact your physical and emotional health and may lead you to engage in unhealthy behaviors. Some studies suggest there is a potential link between chronic stress and diabetes, elevated LDL cholesterol, heart disease, hypertension, obesity, as well as tooth and gum disease. Avoid the unwanted negative consequences of stress by finding alternative ways to respond to stressful events and circumstances. 

The Tis the Season 28-Day Stress Relief Challenge is designed to help you pay attention to the stressors in your life and find healthy ways to cope with them. You will receive tips and education via weekly emails and can reach out to Be Well health professionals for individualized support.

Participants will be eligible for random drawings to keep motivated and support their wellness goals. Winners will be announced throughout the challenge. 

Participants must actively participate in all 4 weeks of the challenge. This challenge is worth twenty 2022 Tier 2 Wellness Your Way reward points.

Be Well Weigh of Life 12-Week Challenge *
Jan. 24 - April 17, 2022

Weigh of Life is a 12-week educational lifestyle change program designed to support successful, sustainable weight management through self-monitored, balanced eating and regular physical activity - the three “pillars” of science-supported, long-term weight management. This program provides educational videos, handouts, resource guides, worksheets, and accountability via daily food and activity tracking (Weigh of Life app now available for Android and Apple users). You will also have email access to registered dietitian nutritionists for personalized nutrition and lifestyle advice.

Whether you’re motivated by weight loss, disease prevention, or simply just want to feel healthier, Weigh of Life is here to help! The information in this program provides guidance on proper eating and exercise strategies, in addition to addressing stress and emotional well-being.

NEW THIS YEAR - Weekly virtual check-ins. A Be Well Solutions facilitator will provide tips for success, recipes and motivation as well as answer questions and  offer suggestions to overcoming barriers.

Participants must actively participate in at least 10 of the 12 weeks of the challenge AND achieve an overall participation score of 70% of the available points to receive 70 Wellness Your Way reward points towards Tier 2 for 2022. Points will be updated by Be Well upon challenge completion.

Wellable Gratitude Challenge 
April 4 - May 1, 2022

The expression of gratitude doesn’t just feel good, it has a profound effect on health, happiness, and overall well-being. In addition to daily physical activity tracking, this challenge provides an opportunity for participants to flex their gratitude muscles by developing the important skill of being grateful and incorporating it in everyday life. By completing unique and creative weekly Gratitude Exercises, participants learn how to cultivate and engage in gratitude during the challenge and beyond!

Participants will be eligible for random drawings to keep motivated and support their wellness goals. Winners will be announced throughout the challenge.

This challenge is open to all full and part time faculty and staff. Employees participating in the Wellness Your Way Reward program must participate in all four weeks of this challenge AND achieve an overall participation score of 65% of the available points to qualify for wellness incentive reward points. This challenge is worth 20 reward points for Tier 2 2022.

Wellable Resilience Challenge
May 9 - June 5, 2022

Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and everyday challenges. The power of resilience can help one navigate both positive and negative experiences alike! This challenge is designed to help participants discover the many ways resilience benefits physical and emotional health while encouraging them to move daily and practice five unique Resilience Exercises to help build resilience and well-being in their life.

Participants will be eligible for random drawings to keep motivated and support their wellness goals. Winners will be announced throughout the challenge.

This challenge is open to all full and part time faculty and staff. Employees participating in the Wellness Your Way Reward program must participate in all four weeks of this challenge AND achieve an overall participation score of 65% of the available points to qualify for wellness incentive reward points. This challenge is worth 20 reward points for Tier 2 2022.

Wellable Total Wellness Challenge
Aug. 1-28, 2022

Wellness goes far beyond just being active and eating well. Bringing awareness to its unique dimensions of wellness can help build a holistic sense of fulfillment and well-being – and this challenge provides an opportunity for just that! In addition to tracking physical activity and nutrition, participants will view engaging videos to explore eight different well-being dimensions.

Participants will be eligible for random drawings to keep you motivated and support your wellness goals. Winners will be announced throughout the challenge.

This challenge is open to all full and part time faculty and staff. Employees participating in the Wellness Your Way Reward program must participate in all five weeks of this challenge AND achieve an overall participation score of 65% of the available points to qualify for wellness incentive reward points. This challenge is worth 20 reward points for Tier 2 2022.

Be Well Social Media Slow Down Challenge *
Sept. 19-Oct. 16, 2022

This challenge is designed to help participants evaluate their social media usage and how it relates to their day-to-day stress levels. Participants are encouraged to limit their social media screen time and track details about their stress levels and stress management practices each day of the challenge.

Participants will be eligible for random drawings to keep you motivated and support your wellness goals. Winners will be announced throughout the challenge.

Participants must actively participate in all 4 weeks of the challenge. This challenge is worth 20 reward points for Tier 2 2022.
