November/December Focus – Managing the Holidays

The winter months provide some of the biggest challenges to well-being during the year. While the holidays bring a sense of joy and togetherness for many, for others the holiday season brings along a sense of dread and its own special stressors—cooking meals, shopping, baking, cleaning, entertaining, and working through grief, to name just a few. You may also feel sad or anxious because your holiday plans look a little different during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The stress and unhealthy behaviors associated with holidays can become problematic if we don't care for ourselves. If you anticipate that this holiday season is going to be stressful, get ahead of it and plan accordingly to make sure you are carving out time for self-care. Armed with some practical tips, such as those that will be provided via the programming below, you can minimize the stress that accompanies the winter months and stay on track with your health and wellness goals.
