Ben Woods began his career in when in 1999 when the World Wide Web was just beginning to be recognized as a valuable tool for businesses. Prior to his appointment at Kent State, Woods held positions with a number of companies in Ohio where he was often hired as the first web/digital designer. As a designer at Ansley & Associates, Epstein Design Partners, WhiteSpace Creative, and as a freelancer, he delivered solutions for Cleveland Clinic, The City of Shaker Heights, Mazzella Lifting, Akron Public Schools, Dorel Industries and many other large and small businesses in a variety of sectors.
For nearly 12 years he held positions at Eaton Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was Manager, User Experience. While at Eaton, Woods worked with global teams and a variety of consulting firms to deliver research and design that improved digital experiences for Eaton's customers, and developed the analytics discipline for tracking the performance of digital properties and identifying opportunities for improvement. He currently owns TheoremCX, an innovation firm providing customer-focused solutions for organizations. Companies like HEMA Imaging and Knoch Corporation are among TheoremCX’s clients.
Woods was an adjunct instructor for Kent State University from 2009 to 2016. He is an Eagle Scout, a member of Promise Partners and a board member of Pioneer Knowledge Services, and he supports a variety of community organizations including Boy Scouts of America.
