K-12 School Library Media Licensure Admissions
This 29 credit-hour course of study leads to a multi-age licensure in school library media. This program prepares students to work in school libraries only and incorporates courses from the School of Library and Information Science and Instructional Technology. Upon completion of the program, students are qualified to sit for a state exam and apply for licensure.
Please note: Those seeking licensure in the state of Ohio must have current teaching credentials to be eligible for the School Library Media Licensure-only program. A dual degree option is available for those who do not have current teaching credentials. For more information, visit the K-12 School Librarianship page.
Applicants outside of Ohio should contact their state’s Board of Education for any unique requirements.
