Admissions Deadlines

  • January 15: Summer semester
  • March 15: Fall semester September 15: Spring semester

Applications are accepted for all semesters and are reviewed as they come in. All application materials, including test scores, should be received by the deadline to ensure the best chance to register for open seats in the core classes. Applications received after the indicated semester deadline will be considered on a space-available basis. Please contact the School's office at slisinform@kent.edu to determine the possibility of late submission if your application file will not be completed in time.

Admissions Qualifications

Regular Admission
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent to that earned from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S.
  • Total GPA of 3.0 or higher in their highest completed degree.
  • GPA is calculated from the grades of all courses taken at the relevant level, baccalaureate or master.
  • International Students must provide evidence of English Language Proficiency. See the International Students page on our site for details on score requirements.
Conditional Admission
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent to that earned from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S.
  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test for those who have not earned a 3.0 GPA in their highest completed degree.
  • International Students must provide evidence of English Language Proficiency. See the International Students page on our site for details on score requirements.

  • Official Transcripts
  • Online University Application
  • Letters of recommendation (3 references required)
  • Submit test scores, if necessary
  • Statement of Career Goals
  • Biographical sketch
  • Resume (optional)
  • A personal interview (if requested by School)

All admissions materials may be submitted electronically through the application. If email addresses for your references are not supplied in your application, your references must submit written references via postal service and include a specific form, available on the application materials page.
