M.L.I.S.-M.Ed. Culminating Experience | School of Information | Kent State University

Students pursuing the dual degree in M.Ed./MLIS and K-12 School Library Media must complete a six (6) credit-hour culminating experience (LIS 60870) in a supervised educational library or information center.

The internship must not be fewer than 300 hours of professional work.

Prerequisites (all courses and conditions shown are required): LIS 60010, 60020, 60030, 60040, 60050, 60607, 60618, 60624, 60630; ADED 62146; CI 67310 and 67330; ESPY 65524; SPED 63200; graduate standing; special approval.

Note: Conferral of a school library media license requires successful completion of the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) Exam 041 in Library Media and a practicum.
