IFLA WLIC Seeks Volunteers, Fellows
The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) will host its World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) in Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 13-19, 2016. More than 4,000 library and information science professionals from 150 countries will attend the Congress. IFLA is the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services and their users. It is the global voice of the library and information profession.
Kent State University School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) students and alumni are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet colleagues from all over the world, to hear the world’s LIS professionals speak on topics of interest, and to experience international librarianship and international relations in a unique way. Applications are now being accepted for volunteer and fellowship grant opportunities that can make the Congress affordable:
