Check out the list of Diversity Scholarships on the CCI Diversity website.

 

We encourage all students to explore as many scholarship options as possible and to apply for any and all eligible opportunities.

 

The listing on the CCI Diversity website highlights scholarships at Kent State and in the community that are for diverse groups of students. Check out all of the different categories to see if you could qualify. We continue to update this list each semester, so always check back for more information.

DEVIN C.G. MOORE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

 

In honor of JMC student, Devin Moore, the College of Communication and Information and School of Journalism and Mass Communication have created the Devin C.G. Moore Memorial Scholarship.

 

This scholarship will be awarded to an underrepresented/minority student pursuing a degree in journalism (interested specifically in broadcast journalism).

DRAG SHOW AUDITIONS

Would you like to represent Kent State in this year’s Battle for the Wagon Heel?

Each year, Kent State battles Akron in a drag show competition at Interbelt Nite Club.

FUTURE FEMALE LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP

 

Deadline: March 30th, 2018

 

StudySoup works to support students as they find success through education. And as part of that mission, they are proud to stand behind female students who continue to break down gender barriers and move into crucial leadership positions. They are offering a $2,000 scholarship to one outstanding female student who’s exhibited extraordinary leadership skills and an ability to empower others.

 

Eligibility:
Any individual at least sixteen (16) years old who meets one of the following criteria:
1) Currently attending high school (or equivalent) and will be attending an accredited university or college in the next academic year.
2) Currently attending an accredited university or college (undergraduate and graduate students are both eligible)

STUDY ABROAD IN PRAGUE

In honor of President Warren’s first visit to Prague next October 2018, OGE is awarding $1,000 to the first 15 accepted participants in the Fall 2018 Kent State Prague Program.

Eligibility is based upon the applicant’s acceptance date and full matriculation into the program. The application for Fall 2018 is OPEN NOW.

MOTHERS, MENTORS, AND MUSES NOMINATIONS

 

The Women’s Center is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Mothers, Mentors, and Muses awards.

 

Mothers, Mentors, and Muses is the Women’s Center's signature event that recognizes Kent State University female-identifying faculty or staff who have made a significant difference in the life of a student or colleague. More than 375 women across the university have received this honor. 

This award is intended to honor female-identifying faculty or staff of Kent State (with five or more years of service) who have served in any of three roles:

  • Mother – one who has helped “birth” ideas, thoughts and academic endeavors in others, or who serves as a nurturing individual to others.
  • Mentor – one who serves as a trusted counselor, colleague and/or role model.
  • Muse – one who inspires creativity and artistic/academic passion in others.
