Meet the Marketing Cloud Team | Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) | Kent State University

The marketing cloud is the central communications hub of the Salesforce CRM, and a cross-functional team is involved in the implementation.

Reponsisbilities of the team include:

  • Oversee onboarding of new groups to the Marketing Cloud
  • Identify appropriate existing Business Units or recommend purchase of additional Business Units
  • Facilitate user onboarding
  • Document system training requirements
  • Provide a continual training plan
  • Identify Best Practices, such as how to embed videos
  • Identify changes that will be implemented
  • Support the administrator as upgrades are applied
  • Evaluate monthly updates/upgrades
  • Perform change management
  • Research additional enhancements and features

The Marketing Cloud team is providing ciritcal information and exchanging ideas in support of the following decision points:

  • Determine optimal enterprise custom subscription center
  • Establish User Roles and Permissions
  • Create Marketing Cloud and Exact Target Email usage guidelines
  • Establish change management and training plans, as well as plan for user onboarding
  • Develop the IP Warming strategy – identify teams/depts. that have the best lists to send to
