Recruiting - Phase I is Live!

Over the past 12 months, the Recruiting implementation team has been diligently working on the many tasks that are required to bring eight recruiting departments together into one consolidated system. These tasks included development of a custom solution, the Recruitment Lifecycle, that automatically creates and manages the type of student (whether they are a new freshman or transfer student), anticipated start term, and the admitting unit the student is engaging with.

In addition to the Recruitment Lifecycle solution, the team completed:Recruiting Team Statistics Graphic

  • forms to collect recruit data
  • event registration
  • event templates
  • email templates
  • page layouts
  • record layouts
  • user security profiles
  • permission sets
  • reports
  • folder structures
  • 135,000+ records of recruit data
  • de-duplication of data
  • user training materials
  • system configuration
  • data loading
  • data validation
  • testing
  • end-user training over several weeks

The team continues to work through day-to-day business/functional needs within the system as we learn how to leverage these new tools.

Now that all eight recruiting departments are in one system, Kent State has the unique ability to see the entire engagement cycle with a student across all campuses. This will better serve the students' needs in terms of programs and locality, and provides the opportunity to reduce duplicative costs and effort with outreach. We now possess the ability to have insight on real return on investment.

Once the staff is fully engaged with the system’s functionality and are comfortable with day-to-day processing, they will have opportunity to utilize the system more strategically as opposed to transactionally.
