Web Application - Hosting

Provides an enterprise class Windows-based web application platform based on IIS 7.5 and ASP.NET (all currently supported versions). High performance and high availability are provided by load balancing, application-level request routing and URL rewrites.

How to request this service

Submit a Support Ticket at support.kent.edu. Choose the following:

  • Request Type: Shared Drives, File Shares, and Backups
  • Shared Drive Detail: Create New File Shares Service

or call 330-672-HELP (4357).

NOTE: This service is provided in order to support official university functions. It may be requested by any person responsible for implementing or maintaining a service in support of university business.

Service delivery process

Expected response time for acknowledgement:
Requests are immediately acknowledged by the helpdesk system. Acknowledgement of a request will be received within 3 business days from an IS representative. A representative from IS Server Support will contact you for additional technical information.

Expected response time for fulfillment:
The time it takes to fulfill requests will vary depending on complexity of requirements.

Service delivery hours:
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Excluding university breaks
