According to the faculty nomination, Burrier “has served as president of the SLIS alumni council for the past five years or so. She’s done a terrific job of helping the group come together and remain engaged, even through our changes in leadership. She speaks at our annual alumni/student awards programs and encourages new alums to remain connected to the school as well.”

The School of Library and Information Science (iSchool) at Kent State University offers a Master of Library and Information Science (M.L.I.S.) and Master of Science in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management (IAKM), with concentrations in health informatics, knowledge management and user experience design.
