Each tuition credit contains a general fee, which is mainly used to support student services and operations. For more information on the general fee, please visit the One Stop website.
Financial Aid
You must be enrolled in at least half time (four credit hours for graduate students) to be considered eligible for financial aid as a full-time student. Please visit the Terms and Conditions of Receiving Financial Aid to get more detailed information about
eligibility. The Student Financial Aid website has more information on financial aid opportunities through Kent State.

Graduate assistantships
Applications for iSchool graduate assistantships are in January for the following academic year. Applications must be submitted on or before March 1 prior to the fall semester when assistantships begin. Only those applicants who have been admitted to a iSchool program by March 1 will be considered for assistantships.

Grants
You may be eligible for grants to assist with funding your graduate education. For more information on grants outside of the School of Information, please visit the Student Financial Aid Grants website.
Fellowships
The Division of Graduate Studies at Kent State University administers a limited number of fellowships and awards for continuing students. A fellowship is an arrangement in which financial support is given to a graduate student to pursue his or her degree without any obligation on the part of the student to engage in service. An award recognizes past achievements and meritorious performance. Students must be nominated by their program/department. Read descriptions and criteria for available fellowships and awards.
