Did you know page layouts can be customized?

Salesforce provides an easy-to-use WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface for editing existing page layouts or creating new custom page layouts. Using drag and drop tools, elements like Fields, Buttons, Custom Links, Quick Actions, Related Lists, Report Charts, Components, and Visualforce Pages can be added or removed. Sections or blank spaces can also be added to adjust the aesthetics of the page.

Are there some fields you don’t want everyone to see but you don’t want a unique layout created for each situation?

Don’t worry, Field Level Security can control what fields are visible or read only to a profile without having to create multiple page layouts.

Important!

Because layouts are used across profiles and are not user specific, not just anyone can modify them. Work with your project’s Business Systems Analyst if you have any questions or want to learn more!
