Classy Launch for Giving Tuesday

The Classy implementation was successful with the official launch of the Giving Tuesday campaign on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. As you may recall, the Classy platform provides the unique ability to allow participants to crowdfund, increasing the number of people who part take in this year’s campaign.

This implementation includes the integration of data with the Classy and Salesforce platforms, as well as the university’s ERP system, Banner. These integrations and implementation required the Institutional Advancement and Information Services project team work closely together over several months to:

  • Identify required data points/fields
  • Perform data transformations
  • Map data
  • Develop a scheduled (daily) data synchronization
  • Set up configuration
  • Set up user security
  • Develop user training
  • Develop reports
  • Test
  • Deploy to production

The pronounced collaboration of the project team was a primary ingredient for the success of the project. Look for the next issue of the newsletter for Giving Tuesday results.
