TargetX Conference Highlights
Kent State sent over a dozen future users and admins to San Diego, California, for the 9th annual “CRM Summit,” a user conference hosted by TargetX, our implementation partner for admissions and retention. Our project is already benefiting from the closer ties made with our partners and Salesforce representatives. With more than 500 attendees from more than 100 higher education institutions, the Summit provided Kent State staff the opportunity to get to know other CRM users and administrators, learn about similar implementation experiences, and better understand other colleges' and universities' successful implementations. At least one Kent State representative attended each of the nearly 80 conference sessions over the course of three days. Several employees also attended pre-conference training to dive deeper into CRM topics such as events, reporting, and email management.
Conference highlights include:
- Deep dives and demonstrations into product enhancements for TargetX’s Summer ’16 release, including the completely updated Events Solutions, and the TargetX Portal builder.
- Feedback on the product road map and product enhancement suggestions given directly to TargetX’s Director of Product Colby Lavin and the development staff at TargetX.
- Panel discussions on topics such as governance best practices, managing obstacles in CRM implementation, and maintaining CRM functionality within a growing organization.
