New Online Workshops to Help You Work from Home

In order to support Kent State’s Keep on Teaching and Keep on Working efforts, new workshops have been created for faculty and staff by the Division of Information Technology, the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the Office of Continuing and Distance Education (OCDE).

All workshops will be conducted through Microsoft Teams.

If you have not used Teams before, it is part of the Office 365 suite of tools and allows for efficient instant messaging, video conferencing, collaboration and file sharing. Familiarize yourself with Teams basics with this interactive demo.

How to Work from Home - Faculty Edition

This workshop is designed to support the Teaching at Home material found at https://www.kent.edu/keeponteaching. This workshop will focus on digital tools like Blackboard Learn, Kaltura and Collaborate Ultra.  New live workshops are being added every week, so be sure to visit training.kent.edu, and choose the "In-Person" option, to see any newly added sessions. How to Work from Home - Staff Edition

This workshop will focus on enabling you to be productive at home using tools like Microsoft Teams and Jabber. Kent State provides access to tools and resources to help conduct classroom experiences at a distance, such as real-time lectures and classroom discussions, recorded presentations, shared materials, and class assignments. KeepOnTeaching: Science Lab

Most science labs at Kent State are delivered via in-person instruction.
