Spring Break in Poland
The Jewish Studies Program will be going to Poland for spring break, March 21-28, 2015. All Kent State students are welcome to attend. The trip will include visits to Warsaw, Krakow, and Auschwitz – Birkenau. Students will visit museums, listen to speakers, meet with Survivors and Righteous among the Nations, as well as students and professors from local universities.
Students will register for a one credit course entitled “Perception and Remembrance: The Holocaust Representations in Poland.” Students will be required to keep and submit a journal based on their trip and write a short essay about one of the topics covered on the trip.
Cost will be $2,850 per participant. This includes airfare, lodging, entry fees and most meals. Limited scholarships are available through the Jewish Studies Program.
