Dana began her career as an actor on the NY stage. She has also worked in film and tv as a director, producer, editor and writer. She received her MFA from The University of California Riverside for Screenwriting and Writing for the Performing Arts with honors.
Her feature film, In The Orchard, which she wrote produced, edited and starred in, won the Jury Award for The Best Feature Film at the Sonoma Film Festival. It was also an Official Selection at various other festivals such as Julian Dubuque FF, Maryland FF, The Ojai FF among others. Her short film, Old Friends, which she wrote, produced and edited was an official selection of The Buffalo Niagara International Film Festival and The Griffon International Film Festival. Her next feature film, The Red Suitcase, which she also has written will star acclaimed NY actress, Kathleen Chalfant and the esteemed actor, Harris Yulin. The script for The Red Suitcase was also in the final selection process for The Sundance Screenwriter’s Lab. She is also currently in development for a new short film called, Turning Blue which she plans to shoot here in Ohio.
She has worked as a Senior Editor and Feature Producer for various TV shows such as the NBC show, Poker After Dark, “The Director's Cut” among others. She has also edited award winning documentaries including, Finding Kraftland, which premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and continued to play in over 75 film festivals around the globe.
