Donations Provide Opportunities

Year after year, more than 100 JMC students receive scholarships to help alleviate tuition costs and fund experiential learning, thanks to gifts from generous donors. Our most critical priority is scholarship support; your generosity enables more students to attend and complete college. Our scholarships recognize students of high achievement and students with financial need. With donor support, these students can then study abroad, access state-of-the-art technology as they tell innovative stories and craft creative campaigns, and meet and work alongside nationally respected professionals and faculty.

JMC students win big with donor support.

Our students’ work is nationally recognized by the Hearst Journalism Awards, ADDY Awards, Public Relations Student Society of America, College Media Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and more. When you support JMC, you are supporting students who take seriously their charge to become responsible, innovative and ethical communicators - and many of them win national awards in the process.

Make a Gift

Ways to Make Your Gift Count

Kent State University offers donors great flexibility in determining the best method of giving: cash, pledges, payroll deductions, securities, employer matching programs and many more.

Donors can choose to designate their gift for a specific program, or provide unrestricted gifts to fund JMC’s greatest needs. Both donation types directly impact JMC students.

Donors can give expendable gifts – funds to be used in the short term; or, they can make endowed gifts over the long term. Endowments are essential to JMC because they provide a lasting source of support.

Every gift is an investment in the future of JMC students. It is an investment in the field of communication, as we train ethical, innovative and respected communicators for the future.
