2017 Kent Creativity Festival - Call for Activity Leaders

Time and Location:  11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Lester A. Lefton Esplanade between Rockwell Hall and downtown Kent, Ohio

For people of all ages in a hands-on environment that allows everyone to Be An Artist!

CALL FOR ARTISTS

We invite you to apply to our creativity festival - submit your proposal below for an interactive, hands-on activity in which individuals of all ages and levels of skill may participate.

Can you teach some form of movement? (various types of dance, exercise or other physical activity)

Can you provide an activity that will bring out the artist in every person stopping by?

  • Something to make and take home
  • A song they write and perform
  • Create poems with a pre-established theme.
  • Improvise a story/scene using props
  • Make music with household items
  • Use recyclables materials to create toys or create a sculpture

These are just a few examples of the 33 activities from the 2017 Kent Creativity Festival.

The festival is being planned by a group of local stakeholders, including Kent State University, the City of Kent, Main Street Kent, local non-profit organizations and Kent businesses.

The annual Kent Creativity Festival provides an opportunity for people of all ages and skill levels to come together to create, share and explore the creation of all forms of art. Artists prepare and lead interactive creative activities that will engage and inspire visitors to explore their own creativity and participate in the joy and transformative power of making art and sharing it with others.
