National Get Fit Don't Sit Day
On Wednesday, May 3, Kent State University will participate in the American Diabetes Association’s National Get Fit Don’t Sit DayTM and we want you to join in the fun! The Employee Wellness Team, along with Recreational Services and the College of Education, Health and Human Services, will host an Open Walk and Stretching Safely mini-clinic on May 3.
|Open Walk||11 a.m. - 1 p.m.||Blue walking track behind DeWeese Health Center||Grab your walking shoes, water bottle and a friend, and come join us when you can and take advantage of some walking time.|
|"Stretching Safely" Stops||11:30 a.m.; noon; and 12:30 p.m.||Blue walking track behind DeWeese Health Center||Jason Parks, EHHS graduate assistant, will lead mini stretch breaks to take you through a short stretching sequence so that you know how to stretch safely before and after any exercise.|

In the case of adverse weather, all activities will take place at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the upper track during the same time. No registration is required for this event.
Combat the dangers of prolonged sitting and come get moving with us. Don’t forget your shoes and water bottle! We’ll see you at the track for National Get Fit Don’t Sit Day!
