An American fabric sculptor and performance artist, Nick Cave is best known for his "Soundsuits" — wearable fabric sculptures that are bright and whimsical. He is also a trained dancer, and currently serves as graduate coordinator for the fashion design program at SAIC (the School of the Art Institute of Chicago).
Cave also has an exhibition — "Encounter," consisting of three video installations — on view at the School of Art Gallery in the Art Building. "Encounter" will run through Friday., Nov. 21.
