Run the World 5K - Registration Open

Run the World 5K is a race organized by the colleges within Kent State University and the Office of Global Education to raise money for study abroad student scholarships.  This Kent Campus 5K is part of the new Run the World Race Series that will also include a race at the Stark Campus on April 14, 2018. Over the past two years the Run the World events have been able to provide $21,000 in scholarships for students to study abroad.

Race Details 

The race will start at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 10:30 a.m. Starting line will be at Risman Plaza (in between the Student Center and University Library). Registration is now open.

Cost

The student discounted rate for all KSU students at all times for the Kent Campus race is $25 and for the Run the World Race Series (5Ks on the Kent Campus on September 9, 2017 and on the Stark Campus on April 14, 2018) is $45.

Cost for faculty, staff, and community members is $25 and $45 respectively through May 31 and will increase to $30 and $55 through July 31.

Scholarship Opportunity   

Student registration for the race will also include a chance to win one of multiple $1,000 scholarships toward a study abroad experience. The study abroad program must be a Kent State or exchange program. See the Office of Global Education to determine if your interested program qualifies. Students must register for the race to be qualified.
