Valuable Ounce: Drinking Knowledge and Awareness
Kent Campus - Prentice Hall
The Counseling and Human Development Center at Kent State University is implementing a new psycho-educational and counseling group during the spring of 2016 titled Valuable Ounce: Drinking Knowledge and Awareness. This counseling group has the intention to help guide college students through stressors and influences associated with alcohol use, focusing on assessing motivators and exploring values through a harm reduction approach; abstinence is not the goal. In order to encourage involvement and participation in the counseling group, "rewards" will be offered to students for attendance. The rewards include coupons and gift cards from local organizations such as Chipotle, Jimmy John's, Five Guys, etc. The group will also provide free drinks and snacks! Students will also have the opportunity to receive FLASHperks for attendance. The dates of this group are March 2, March 16, March 30, April 13, and April 27. The group is offered in Prentice Hall room 129 from 7:15 - 8:45 p.m.
