Nutrition

Individuals' dietary intake over time is closely related to health outcomes such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and cancer. As college students transition from adolescence to young adulthood, they may adopt unhealthy dietary behaviors, such as skipping meals, low consumption of dairy products, and high intake of energy dense foods. Because of the potential serious health consequences associated with poor diet, the Kent State of Wellness will intensify efforts to provide education, programs and initiatives for students and employees that focus on food selection, preparation, and accessibility.
