Hosted by the College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Kent State, the annual expo will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Kent State University Airport, located at 4020 Kent Road in Stow, Ohio. The family-friendly, public event formerly known as the Kent State University Aeronautics Fair highlights the College of Aeronautics and Engineering’s programs and gives the community an opportunity to experience the technology used by Kent State’s future engineers and aeronautics experts.

“Over the years, the Aeronautics and Engineering EXPO has grown in significance, accelerating community engagement in our college and craft,” said Christina Bloebaum, Ph.D., dean of Kent State’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering. “We are bringing as much of the college’s technology as possible to the event and are excited to offer tours of the new FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center.”

The FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center is the first brick-and-mortar building at the Kent State University Airport and brings the Aeronautics and Engineering EXPO partially inside classroom space for the first time in the event’s 20-plus year history. Flight simulator experiences, tours and speakers will take place in the new FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center. Goodyear, COSI, MAPS Air Museum, Kent State’s College of Nursing and the Stow Munroe-Falls Chamber of Commerce are some of the event contributors. Food, aircraft and line-following robots are additional features.
