The Dr. Terry Kuhn Distinguished Undergraduate Advising Award is presented annually to a full-time academic advisor or faculty advisor who demonstrates a passion for student success both inside and beyond the classroom.

A Distinguished Advisor is one who fosters an inclusive and empowering advising relationship that models NACADA's Core Values and Kent State University's Advising Guidelines.

To be eligible for nomination, an advisor must:

  1. Be an academic or faculty advisor at Kent State University for at least one year.
  2. Model the NACADA Core Values for academic advisors.
  3. Show proven initiative and/or leadership within their advising unit.
