2019 LaunchNET Student Startup Scholarship
An endowed scholarship fund has been started in honor of Paul L. Pfeiffer to support the student clients of LaunchNET Kent State.
The $1000 student scholarship will recognize an outstanding, motivated graduate or undergraduate Kent State student who is a regular client of LaunchNET. To be eligible, students will have been engaged in their venture/project with LaunchNET through multiple stages by participating in multiple venture meetings, events, competitions, and/or additional mentoring. The award recipient should display an entrepreneurial mindset and be actively working on a venture, social enterprise, student organization, or other related activity.
Any Kent State student, from any major, class standing, or campus may apply if they meet the engagement and GPA requirements (2.5+). A committee of internal and external LaunchNET constituents will choose the recipient each April for the next academic year.
This year's recipient will be announced and celebrated at the LaunchNET Awards & Expo at Ray’s Place Kent on April 23, 2019.
Clients can also nominate a Kent State faculty member who will be recognized with a $1000 Faculty Mentor Award for working with and supporting student innovators and entrepreneurs beyond the classroom.
