Build Your Own Brand is an entrepreneurial workshop series geared toward underrepresented minority students with businesses or business ideas, to help them gain the skills and tools to be confident leaders with memorable brands. Participants will hear from successful entrepreneurs and professionals and complete hands-on exercises to learn the essentials of branding, marketing, entrepreneurial finance and more. Each participant who completes the program will receive their own custom designed business cards. 

This series is open to KSU students, staff and faculty of all disciplines.

Mon. 10/15: Branding Basics

Learn the essentials of building a strong brand with Daron Henderson of Lo-Key Entertainment. Complete branding exercise with Danielle Wright of Wright Relations 

Mon. 10/22: Marketing Basics

Discuss strategies and platforms to successfully market your services/products with Kevin Conwell of Wake Hustle Grind. Use research databases to discover what your customer wants with Business & Entrepreneurship Outreach Librarian, Karen MacDonald.

Mon 10/29: Entrepreneurial Finance Crash Course

Participate in an Entrepreneurial Finance Crash Course with Danny Butler of Soulcial Scene. Find out which business entity is right for you and walk through filing an LLC.
