Marty Erbaugh Student Entrepreneur Scholarship

Congratulations to winners of the Marty Erbaugh Student Entrepreneur Scholarship! Your commitment to your ventures and academics were evident throughout your applications and recommendations. We are honored to present you with these awards.

LN scholarship winners

The $1,000 student scholarship will recognize an outstanding, motivated graduate or undergraduate Kent State student who is a regular client of LaunchNET. This scholarship is for a student entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur that shows passion and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship but also the foresight to utilize mentoring and resources to support their entrepreneurial journey. The student does not need to specifically have a launched venture.

LaunchNET Kent State’s 2019 Giving Tuesday campaign successfully funded the new Marty Erbaugh Student Entrepreneur Scholarship. In honor of Marty Erbaugh, our friend and one of LaunchNET's first advisory board members, we are excited to create a scholarship in his name. Marty was a trusted mentor and friend to LaunchNET staff and clients. Marty was also LaunchNET's mentor of the year for 2017-2018.

Paul L. Pfeiffer Mentor Award

LaunchNET Clients can nominate a Kent State faculty member who will be recognized with a $1,000 Faculty Mentor Award for working with and supporting student innovators and entrepreneurs beyond the classroom.

Paul L. Pfeiffer was the grandfather of current LaunchNET advisory board member Brent Pfeiffer, who has been instrumental in helping establish this scholarship for LaunchNET student clients (as well as a faculty mentor, see below). Paul was a long-time business faculty member at Kent State who knew the importance of mentoring and working with student entrepreneurs outside the classroom. LaunchNET is thrilled to be able to honor our student entrepreneur and faculty partners with these awards.
