Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Brown has responsibility for the executive leadership and management of Kent State University’s diversity and inclusion matters, leading strategic diversity planning for the university and ensuring successful creation and implementation of key policies, programs and projects. Vice President Brown works in conjunction with the university president, cabinet members, deans and academic chairs to advance diversity, equity and inclusion as integral components of Kent State’s purpose-driven agenda. She works in the region to foster diversity practices and policies across industries to ensure that Kent State’s diversity belief permeates the marketplace, ensuring our graduates that the workforce will be an extension of inclusiveness. Vice President Brown has put forth a concerted effort to improve diversity recruitment and retention for faculty, staff and students, affording Kent State high diversity honors. Her pride is knowing that her efforts to bring about greater understanding, value and respect of differences in people across the Kent State community have truly made Kent State a destination for learning and working.
