Minor in Chinese

The Chinese minor provides a variety of courses to develop not only the traditional skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, but international cultural competence and critical thinking skills as well. By imitating natural mother-tongue language learning processes and employing student-centered classroom techniques, this minor provides students with practice in using Chinese in real-life contexts and equips students to speak about their own and other cultures.

Minor Requirements:

ALL MCLS MINORS AND MAJORS MUST CONSULT AN MCLS ADVISOR EACH SEMESTER.

ALL UPPER-DIVISION COURSES ARE RESTRICTED. ALL STUDENTS REQUIRE A PERMIT FROM AN MCLS ADVISOR IN ORDER TO ENROLL IN SUCH COURSES.
