Melanie Long
Biography
Melanie is an adjunct professor and currently teaches Social Media Strategies at Kent State University. Melanie has 15 years of experience in the world of social media, public relations, and marketing. She's worked with a wide range of B2B and B2C companies, from professional sports to global brands to small businesses. She started as a sports information director at the University of Georgia and The Citadel before landing an internship with the Cleveland Browns, which led to a full-time position where she was the driving force who launched the Browns first Facebook and Twitter accounts and managed all fan loyalty programs.
After leaving sports, she worked at three different marketing agencies: thunder::tech, Marcus Thomas, and Stern Advertising before deciding to start her own freelance consulting business where she uses her extensive experience to help others reach their business goals through effective marketing strategies.
