Ethics Workshop - Sept. 19, 2019
Each September, the Poynter Institute and the Media Law Center for Ethics and Access at Kent State University host an annual ethics workshop. Topics and discussions are relevant to current trends in the media and journalism education. Presenters and panelists from varying backgrounds provide information and opinions based on personal industry experience.
The Poynter KSU Media Ethics Workshop is a one-day training program for professionals, educators and students which examines critical issues and perspectives in media ethics. Moderated by distinguished Poynter ethics faculty, the Poynter KSU Media Ethics Workshop provides a unique forum for professionals and students to confront and discuss timely issues crucial to understanding media ethics and its effect on our world. Previous Poynter KSU Workshops have addressed online ethics, sports media ethics and ethical issues in political reporting. Established in 2004, The Poynter KSU Media Ethics Workshop continues its mission to strengthen media credibility and bolster citizens’ faith in media integrity.
