World Music: Asian Music

Experience music and dance from Thailand, China and Japan. Students from Kent State's Hugh A. Glauser School of Music and the Dance Program will be featured alongside guest artists Suwatana Rockland and Japanese Taiko ensemble, Yume Daiko. Ethnomusicology students Nattapol Wisuttipat, playing the ranat ek (Thai xylophone) and Yuan Ni, playing the erhu (Chinese fiddle), also will be featured. The Kent State Thai and Chinese ensembles are directed by Priwan Nanongkham.

Free admission and parking are available. Ludwig Recital Hall is in the Center for the Performing Arts, located at 1325 Theatre Drive on the Kent Campus.
