Key Notes is a new virtual workshop designed for pre-college pianists offered by Glauser School of Music piano faculty. This free, two-day event includes masterclasses and seminars covering interesting and helpful topics to advance a young musician’s understanding and approach to piano playing. Topics include “Practice Strategies” and “The Life of a Pianist,” which includes a panel of alumni and current Kent State discussing their KSU experience. Key Notes will conclude with a live streamed concert on Sunday, November 15—one of this season’s four Kent Keyboard Series concerts—featuring the students of Kent State’s Piano Division and hosted by the piano faculty.
